It's recently come to my attention that not many of you actually know a lot about couponing. It's very important in order to be able to successfully save the money like I do (over 3 grand 2009 alone!!) that you understand the different ways that the stores work. So before I post this weeks savings I'm going to give you all some time to read up.
I always reccommend BeCentsAble.net
HOWEVER, I do not recommend looking there for the deals instead of here (I know your thinking "OF COURSE!" but just hear me out!) this would be because coupons come out regionally. Our region I've found over the past couple of years gets VERY DIFFERENT coupons and very different results from the stores. For instance, most Schnucks will double coupons daily. But you've never heard of this in Evansville have you? that's because Indiana is the LAND OF NO DOUBLES. Schnucks doubleing coupons in Indiana is unheard of, but believe me, should there come a day when they do double, I will post it WIDE AND CLEAR! And be very frantic about it with excitement!!!!
Now you'll notice that all I mention is that I have a coupon worth a certain amount. I do not usually mention where it's from unless it's from a catalog, or a store printable. I will try to find a much more understandable way of doing this. While I'm NOT new to couponing, I am to blogging, so bear with me while I learn!
Now here are some resources to educate you on couponing basics, any questions? I'm always up for giving answers!!!
Understanding coupons Acronyms by BE CENTSABLE
Couponing101.com has put together a wonderful list of things you need to know HERE
Don't forget to pick up your Local SUNDAY Paper ONLY ON SUNDAY, not on weekdays
I also recommend ALL YOU Magazone Available only at Walmart, or by subscription
Coupons.com always has a good selection and soon I will post a bigger more comprehensive list. I will also start posting FREEBIES soon!
Make sure you read up on Walgreens and CVS 101 located on the couponing101 website. Don't forget at Walgreens you can not have more coupons then you do items, so sometimes you have to fill it in with a small deal (like $1/4coloring books or 39C ea chocolate)
